The Paper Roads Continental Panniers are designed for those who struggle to be minimalist bikepackers or find the Trail Panniers a tad small, but still prefer to stay away from bulky touring panniers. Shorter riders who have little useable packing space elsewhere on their bike will find this size useful.

Each single pannier has a maximum capacity of 12L, or 8L when the roll top is rolled down. At a total of 24L per pair, it is more than the capacity of some of the large saddlebags on the market. Outer zip pockets is an optional feature for quick access and stashing small items.

Perfect for more storage in addition to a dry roll on top of the rack, or run them with a saddlebag.

Features

Construction: made with a unique one panel wrap-around design and tapeable seams to minimise water ingress. This omits a long length of seam that's usually found in ordinary pannier designs. The stitches behind the front pocket come taped.

Fits all racks: there are 5x velcro strap slots per bag for 40mm wide straps. Find the slots that avoids struts on your rack, or move the straps to the inner slots to fit small bikepacking racks.

Velcro straps: Velcro's sheer strength makes it more secure and impossible for bags to bounce off. The lack of hardware and mounting parts is a better safeguard against failure when riding in remote places.

Structure: supported by a polypropylene backing plate and an aluminium batten along the mounting rail to prevent the bag from curving when packed full. All straps in the back feed through slots in the plastic, which doesn't put strain on any stitching.

Pack it to the top: with the top velcro strip to seal the opening, it's possible to jam pack it but it's recommended you roll the top 3 times. This special velcro used does not catch onto clothes easily.

Keeping things dry: opt for the seam taped upgrade or use inner drybags.

Usage & Care information

  • To install, make sure the rear velcro straps are in correct slots for your pannier rack rail. If you need to shift them, pull the strap out, undo the lower velcro and reach in under the plastic backing to feed the strap through the next slot. Make sure the lower camlock strap goes through the plastic.
  • You may need to shuffle the panniers further back depending on your geometry, pannier rack design or if you ride a small frame.
  • Remember to do up the straps before riding off!

  • Do not throw into washing machine or dryer.
  • Scrub with a plastic bristle brush
  • If doing a thorough clean, use Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarWash and SolarProof.
  • Do not use detergent or softeners
